BIRTH FLOWER: CARNATION
REDS, BLACKS AND FOUNDATION STRENGTHENING COLORS
A lapidary guru once told me how much he loved working with Garnet, because of it's strength and vibrant color variations. If you want to use that as a metaphor it definitely pays attention the ability to stay strong and true to yourself as well as being able to share all of your colors wholeheartedly. Love, sass, frustration, kindness...
If we can look at each year as a wheel that starts in January then January is for really taking notes on goals, focuses and strengthening from the ground up. Think of the cement foundation of a solid home, later on when it’s hurricane season the structure of that home will be phased by “turbulent winds."
Here’s a list of what I needed to really solidify into my own foundation for this year:
It’s a MORE & LESS write up that’s easy to do in a few minutes even if you get nothing out of it it still is a subconscious reminder that you actually care about where you’re headed.
Planning for success and letting it ride
Love hugs playtime
Quarterly planning with the work I love: photo concepts, style guides, color tailored jewelry to guide us through each month.
Supporting other artists
Overachieving in the last hour
Shooting from the hip
Stressing about control (it’s so hard.... so so hard)
I’ll be taking some extra appreciation and my Garnet collection this month (and all year) because awareness in my foundation only means a year that it’s more focused on living whole heartedly my honest truth.
Enjoy the January birthstone, birth flowers and colors to start off the year right!

GUIDED MESSAGES BY ALYSSA COOK
The message for January 2020 is that we are still feeling the effects of 2019.
Its’ so important to get excited for the new year by making sure you're staying on tract with prioritizing yourself first and working on your new daily habits in the new year.
It’s important to recognize that when we put ourselves first and honor ourselves in that loving, unconditional, genuine way that we spread that same love through our friends, family, and neighborhoods for the better.
